The books a child reads when they are young help to form their view of the world. For me, 'The Wonder Book of Why and What?' was one of the books which captured my imagination and taught me snippets of knowledge about the world around me.
The illustrations were stylised and stylish and very much 'of their time' - the early sixties. I've scanned a few here for your perusal.
The pictures are not individually accredited in the book but they are by N.Battershill, A.W.Darnell and Rita Parsons. The book was published in 1961 by Ward Lockand Company.
